Creative Baking

A while back I ran into a guy eating a little alligator shaped bakery thingy. It was one of those "wow, how unique" moments. Of course I asked the obvious question, "Is it good?" Turned out that they are his breakfast every school day and he really liked them. I of course had to try one the next time I drove past that shop. It was rather enjoyable. They have a lightly sweetened dough along with a lightly sweetened filling that adds a bit to the flavor.
For about 1500 reil (37 cents) it's quiet the novelty. But, I wouldn't choose to eat it for 5 breakfasts a week.

Ultimate in Cambodia

There is a growing contingent of ultimate Frisbee players in Phnom Penh. The local club put together a "HAT" tournament that took place on International Womens day. There were Five teams of 14-15 players each. It was a blast. Our team ,Green, seeded first place with a 3-1 record on the first day. On the second day we were eliminated in the semi finals. There was even an article in the Phnom Pehn Post. If your an ultimate junkie put it on your calendar, I'm sure there will be another one next year. While you're here you can see Cambodia and the famed Angkor Wat.

To eat a Baby...

Looking for familiar treats here can be a bit challenging. The local tastes differ from mine not to mention the Languages, brand, or product being even a little bit recognizable. So when I run into some thing I can tell what it is, it can be pretty exciting. Who cares what the shape is I'm probably gonna eat it. So who else wants to eat some "Jelly Babies"?
Leave it to an Aussie to get around the Gummy Bears trademark by making Jelly Babies.
